BMW decided that anniversaries should be celebrated in a big way making the engines roar with pleasure. That is why the Bavarian car manufacturer is going to produce a 600-hp special edition of the M5 sedan to celebrate its 30th anniversary. As reported by DeTelegraaf.nl, the company will reveal its “four-wheel congratulation” in the end of June at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Great Britain.

Well of course, technical specs of the boosted sedan are kept under seven seals. Right now, the BMW M5 sedan is fitted with 4.4-litre 8-cylinder twin-turbo engine tuned to produce 560 hp and coupled with seven-speed dual-clutch semi-automatic transmission. It takes it 4.3 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h. Top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h. There is an optional Sport Package, which brings the output to 575 hp. The price of the sedan starts at 4,660,000 RUB (approx. €94,000).

The 600-hp version is expected to have a limited edition of 300 units each carrying a «30 Year Limited Edition» sticker. Therefore, the Festival of Speed looks very promising. Well, at least for the fans of the German brand.
