To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Morgan will produce a special edition of Plus 8 Speedster with no roof and windshield at its factory in Malvern. Obviously, it will be a limited edition. It was reported by the company on their Facebook page.
Same as before, there will be a 367-hp 4.8-litre V8 produced by BMW under its bonnet. It will be coupled with six-speed manual or six-speed ZF automatic transmission. The car will sprint to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds with its top speed set at 240 km/h. According to brand's representatives, right now it is the most lightweight roadster fitted with V8 engine — its weight is 1,100 kg. There was no word yet whether the premiere is going to weigh even less.
Morgan Plus 8 Speedster will cost around $118,000 and will go on sale in Great Britain this summer already.
