New Maybach, liquidated and then resurrected by Mercedes-Benz, will be revealed at auto shows in Los Angeles and Guangzhou. As reported by Automotive News, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maybach will be equipped with 12-cylidner engine used in S600 or S 65 AMG models. The supercar will produce 630 hp.
The company decided to focus on those car enthusiasts who prefer Rolls-Royce and Bentley sedans. The premiere will have a 200-mm longer wheelbase than that of a Mercedes-Benz sedan. It will feature more expensive upholstery of higher quality, additional onboard equipment and a possibility to customise the car’s interior.
The longer, the wealthier? It looks like it is the company’s current position as quite soon it plans to launch production of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman. It will be almost 1-metre longer than the standard sedan and will take the place of the most luxurious vehicle in this lineup. One must admit that one million dollar price tag imposes some obligations.
Maybach will cost twice as much as the S600 with its price starting at €165,000.
