The Swedish company Koenigsegg unveiled its all-new hypercar — One:1. The unusual name has technical grounds — it boasts of the car’s 1:1 power-to-weight ratio of one horsepower per each kilogram of its curb weight. As a comparison, the famous Bugatti Veyron has a 2 kg per 1 hp ratio. The powertrain of the hypercar consists of a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 fitted with variable-geometry turbines. One:1 also features a titanium exhaust system. Engine is capable of delivering 1,360 hp and 1,370 Nm of torque. All of the torque is transmitted to the rear axle via the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission self-designed by the Koenigsegg’s engineers. The claimed top speed is 440 km/h; however, before obtaining the title of the fastest production car, this number should be officially confirmed first. Right now the fastest production vehicle is Hennessey Venom GT with the officially confirmed 435 km/h of top speed. It is reported that only six units will be released each costing about $2 million.
