Newport Convertible Engineering (NCE), the tuning studio famous for its convertible versions of various cars, announced commencement of work on creating an open-top version of the Nissan GT-R. The American studio does not reveal any details of the project, but according to some of the leaked photos, they have already come up with several variants of the super-cabrio’s design, including the versions with and without the roll bar.
Nissan GT-R features all-wheel drive, 550-hp 6-cylinder 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged engine, and semi-automatic dual clutch gearbox. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. Its top speed is 315 km/h. GT-R Nismo, the boosted modification, is equipped with the 600-hp engine, stiffer suspension and modified body kit.
NCE produces convertible versions of such cars as Toyota Prius, Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Chevrolet Camaro and Jaguar XJ.
