Porsche has officially issued a recall of 785 units of its most powerful model — 911 GT3 produced in 2014. The reason of the recall — possible spontaneous fires breaking out in the engine compartment. The experts from the German auto group will check the engine of each car and fix the problem which might lead to fire outbreak.
It was reported earlier that the company had put a stop sale on the model after two Porsche 911 GT3 cars caught spontaneous fire of the powertrain. One of the incidents happened in Italy, the second one took place in Switzerland. The car of the Swiss owner burnt to the ground while the Italian one was rescued. The latter was examined by the engineers from Porsche who were trying to find out the reason of the fire outbreak.
