This new Porsche’s SUV has not even gone on sale yet but there is already a good deal of its versions and modifications. It is no secret that Porsche makes extensive use of hybrid powertrains. So it did not come as a surprise that Macan will be also fitted with a powertrain like that.
The company’s CEO Matthias Müller dropped a strong hint that an entire range of the new versions is being developed at the moment. Most of the upgrades will concern performance improvement of the model. It is intended for those who want more speed and dynamics.
However, there will be also more eco-friendly models. In particular, the company schedules production of a plug-in hybrid. And that is taking into consideration that even the current version of the crossover can boast of rather moderate fuel consumption rate and especially the one fitted with diesel engine. Well of course, diesel motors are always in the lead. Macan S Diesel produces 240 hp and its claimed fuel consumption stands at up to 7.6L/100 km.
