During the tests of the Hennessey Venom GT a new personal top speed record was set — 435.31 km/h. The car needed a 2.6-mile (4.2 km) straight line to accelerate to such speed. As stated by the test pilot, the car’s limit has not been reached as its potential was limited by the length of the track. Let us remind that Venom is fitted with the 7.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 1244 hp. It is also reported that the 0 to 300 km/h sprint was performed in 13.63 seconds.
