Don’t take it as a joke! A very serious company Nicholas Mee & Company LTD based in London revealed a self-design project of Aston Martin DB Convertible. However, this car is intended for the kids from 10 to 17 years old. This particular vehicle brand was chosen to become the base of the unusual car not in a random manner - the company is specializing in restoration of the classic Aston Martin vehicles. As a matter of fact, the new car was created in the style of the DB5 and DB6 of the 1960s. The miniature car is smaller in size than the original version. Its length is 2.5 metres, width - 970 mm, height - 780 mm. The car weighs 100 kg and has 145 mm of clearance.

The car is built using steel box section chassis which is fitted with the carbon fibre body, coil-over suspension and a four-stroke engine (!). Its 110cc motorcycle engine is mated to a 3-speed semi-automatic transmission. Its top speed limit of 74 km/h can be decreased at the wish of the young car owner’s parents with the help of additional adjustments. The car features front-engined layout and rear-wheel drive.

Aston Martin DB Convertible Junior is fitted with all necessary equipment - electric start, Brembo disk brakes, full lighting package, fully operational fascia, and even the adjustable pedal box! According to company’s representatives, this option allows accommodating drivers with the height up to 1m 80 cm. At customer request, it might have leather or vinyl seats. The manufacturer also plans producing aerodynamic body kits.

It’s not the first Aston Martin’s bow to junior audience. About a year ago the company turned its attention to its smallest future admirers. They designed and produced a limited edition of baby strollers in cooperation with Silver Cross. The seats of the luxury carriages are finished in alcantara, leather and aluminium. The design of the aluminium alloy wheels is based on the One-77 supercar and the air-ride suspension delivers a smooth ride. The price of such stroller is around £2,000 ($3,000).

However, in spite of the obviously successful sales pitch made by the manufacturer aimed at cultivating love towards a certain brand since early childhood and hoping that the future grown-ups will remain committed, it will still be a limited edition. These cars are not street-legal so they require either a large estate with plenty of roads there or special motordromes.
