Ferrari announced the date when it is going to reveal its new supercar referred to as the 149M Project. The car will be demonstrated behind the closed doors on February 12. It will be unveiled to the public at the Geneva Motor Show which will be held in the beginning of March. Most probably 149M Project will replace the California. It is still uncertain whether the new model is going to keep the name of its ancestor. What is certain is that Ferrari has not registered any new names recently.
Experts expect the new Ferrari to have a new exterior design which is likely to be based on F12 Berlinetta’s style. What concerns its technical specifications, the car will be probably fitted with a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged engine producing 560 hp. Mazeratti Quattroporte features a similar but derated engine.
According to Ferrari’s plan on keeping the model exclusive, production of Project 149 will be limited to 500 units which is less than the number of the current California models produced. The new car is expected to cost around €183,000 in Europe.
