New 1 mile distance World Record has just been set — 20.845 seconds at 409 km/h (254 mph) when crossing the finish line! One more world record has also been set during this race — speed of a Lamborghini when crossing 1 mile distance finish line. ¼ mile result is 8.814 seconds at 289 km/h (179.6 mph)! This result was demonstrated by Leonid V. driving his Lamborghini Gallardo Nera during the second racing day on Tympaki airport runway in Greece. We have already described the first day when the best demonstrated 1 mile time was 21.7 seconds at 397 km/h (246.7 mph) when crossing the finish line.
Let us remind that some serious changes were made to the car after a failure during Unlim 500+ stage in Greece when it caught fire. They assembled an absolutely new engine, installed SYVECS engine control system, upgraded cooling system and also made a lot of other adjustments which allowed achieving these great results. Final dynamometer measurements showed that the car was producing 1575 hp at the wheels which is equal to 1850 hp at the flywheel at charging pressure of 2.9 bars. Right now Leonid’s car is the fastest Lamborghini on our planet and the fastest Unlim 500+ car in all categories — ¼ mile time, 1 mile time and speed at crossing the finish line!
