New-generation Audi Q7 will have its official premiere at the Detroit Auto Show. At the moment, the new model is undergoing road testing; however, photographers were able to make several spy shots and publish them on the Internet.

As a reminder, the new-gen Audi Q7 will be based on Volkswagen Group's MLB platform, which will also underpin the Lamborghini Urus, new-generation Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg and Bentley’s SUV. This new platform will help shredding around 350 kg.

New-gen Q7’s engine lineup will include a 3.0-litre petrol-powered V6, 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and a choice of diesel-powered mills. Either of them will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The car’s exterior features a selection of updates — both front and rear parts of the car will be modified. Audi will fit the Q7 with full-LED or Matrix LED headlights like the A8 sedan.

On the inside, one will find a four-spoke steering wheel, a big touchscreen display, and an entirely new architecture of the centre tunnel and centre console. On the centre console under the touchpad, there are several Mercedes-Benz styled silver buttons.
