One should already own at least five Ferrari supercars to purchase the LaFerrari hybrid… or address used car dealerships.
Sure enough, there is nothing new in the second-hand dealer scheme. There are quite a lot of companies, which buy rare vehicles and then resell them at a triple price. The same thing has happened to the LaFerrari. It is a limited edition of 499 units and, on top of that, one should be a reputable experienced collector to get one. Apart from that, the owner should be well received at the company’s headquarters in Maranello.
There is one backdoor, though. We already know about at least three cases of resale. There is a LaFerrari with a claimed mileage of 100 km put up for sale in Germany. However, its price has seen a significant increase, reaching €2.6 million. Even though Ferrari does not disclose the final price of the LaFerrari, it’s easy to guess that the price offered by the second-hand dealer is significantly excessive.
