The head of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is sure that the amount of millionaires and billionaires is growing fast, meaning there should be more supercars produced.
The new company’s chairman ramps up production of the Italian cars, although it has always been considered that supercars should remain exclusive. There are concerns that the new approach might harm Ferrari’s prestige.
“You’ve got to be careful about limiting the ambition of Ferrari because its customer base is an expanding customer base. The business itself is in good hands with FCA, as long as we don’t screw up the DNA of Ferrari,” Sergio Marchionne told CNBC.
