Despite the end of partnership between Renault and Caterham, the revived Alpine is due to arrive within the next two years.
Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn told What Car? that the revived Alpine sports car will make its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
According to Renault's head of design Laurens van den Acker, the work on the car’s design has been completed. The only thing left is to refine Alpine’s technical characteristics. Nevertheless, the work proceeds on schedule even despite the end of partnership with Caterham.
As for the rest, the company is upbeat about the prospects. As Carlos Ghosn has put it, “now it is better that we go alone”.
