Hennessey Performance tried to create a tuning solution for the “15 Ford Mustang, to bring it closer to Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
Serious amendments were developed for coupe. As a result there will be released 500 modified cars able to accelerate to 96 km/h in 3.6 seconds, and to pass the quarter in 11.2 seconds.
Such figures could be achieved thanks to the supercharger, modified throttle, exhaust system made of stainless steel, high-performance injectors, a set of new pipes with gaskets, fuel pump and new ECU. All these improvements raised the output of stock 5L V8 engine with 420 hp. s. and 529 Nm almost twice, to 717 hp and 856 Nm of torque.
Definitely engineers had to update a body kit, so the car got a new splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a small spoiler on the trunk lid.
Also the studio decided to install the wheels which would improve the car's handling. Mustang GT got 20-inch Hennessey H10 Lightweight wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 tires.
The cost of such Mustang GT 5.0 will be around 60 000 dollars.
