Jaguar unveils the engine lineup intended for the XE model. First things first. The most fuel-efficient Jaguar in the company’s history carries a 2.0-litre diesel-powered engine delivering either 163 or 180 horsepower. Its fuel consumption is a claimed 3.1L/100km and it sprints to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.
Next comes a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol-powered engine delivering either 200 or 280 hp, which has already been revealed in the XF model. It powers its way to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
The most powerful version is fitted with a 3.0-litre V6 that produces 340 hp. It jumps to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
The carmaker has not reported about any other engines so far, however, the abovementioned variants will be enough to satisfy the most ardent fans of the Jaguar XE, including passionate environmentalists and speed enthusiasts.
