McLaren unveiled a less powerful version of the 650S supercar made exclusively for the Asian market.
McLaren is sure that the new model will become extremely popular. It was dubbed the 625C where the letter “C” stands for “Club” and the numbers indicate the car’s horsepower.
Under the bonnet, the new model carries a 3.8-litre 8-cylinder twin-turbo engine coupled to a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes just 3.1 seconds, while 300 km/h is reached in 26.7 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds and 1 second respectively slower than the 650S. Top speed remained the same — 333 km/h.
Company’s officials are sure that the new model will become the most comfortable supercar in McLaren’s lineup. The 625C features new dampers, less stiff spring rate at the rear, and a revised Adaptive Chassis Control system.
