Stolen Jaguar came back home

It took the owner of an all-new Jaguar XK-E 46 years to start enjoying his car.

Ivan Schneider bought this Jaguar XK-E in 1967, however, half a year later the American lawyer had to part with it against his own will. The car was stolen when it had just 6,000 miles on it.

However, this year a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol analyst found the Jaguar XK-E at the ports of Los Angeles. The odometer showed 28,000 miles. The regained Jaguar is priced at $25,000, while its 82-year-old owner will have to spend around $100,000 to restore the vehicle.

By the way, a few more stolen cars were found together with the Jaguar — the 1976 Mercedes-Benz 280 and the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Apparently, someone is haunted with an idea to repeat the “Gone in Sixty Seconds” scenario.
