Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo decided not to waste time and launched his own kart brand.
After winning three Formula 1 Grand Prix races this season, the driver has become much more self-confident and launched his own business — “Ricciardo Kart”. BIREL ART will deal with designing the karts. This company is a symbiosis of a long-existing Birel Group studio and a GP2 racing team ART Grand Prix headed by Nicolas Todt, the son of FIA president Jean Todt.
However, Daniel Ricciardo has not just given his name to the company; he is going to take part in developing the karts from the scratch. They will be used in major karting competitions, including the world’s championship.
A full list of the future models will be unveiled in October, while the first kart will make its debut in November.
