Bentley will launch the fastest car in the world of the most luxurious sedans.
The new model will go on sale this winter. Under the bonnet of the Bentley Mulsanne Speed sits an upgraded 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 537 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque. Previously, its output was equal to 512 hp and 1,020 Nm. The eight-speed automatic transmission has been recalibrated. As a result, the car sprints to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while its top speed is 305 km/h. The Mulsanne Speed is 13 percent more fuel-efficient and boasts of an extended range of 80 km.
Sure enough, the car offers Sport and Custom modes. When activating the first one, the air suspension gets stiffer also adjusting the steering, while the revs are kept above 2,000 rpm. Custom mode allows drivers to individually customise all settings.
The sedan’s exterior has not changed dramatically. The most outstanding features are the 21-inch wheels and the Speed badges. All other changes are rather inconspicuous. Hardly anybody is surprised to see a modified radiator grille and carbon fibre inlays.
