Infiniti will expand its model range with an electric vehicle based on the LE concept car revealed at the New York Motor Show.

It was almost predictable and what is even more important is that the LE prototype has not been lost underneath all other company’s projects. Engine options remain unconfirmed; however, the LE is likely to borrow Nissan Leaf’s powertrain. The electric motor will deliver 107 hp and 253 Nm of torque.

Curiously enough, what distance the new Infiniti will be able to travel on a single charge. As a reminder, Nissan Leaf has a maximum range of 135 km. At the moment, Leaf is the world's best-selling all-electric car with 47,000 units sold in 2013.
