New members will be introduced to the Land Rover Discovery family in 2016. In the meantime, the carmaker decided to add some sense of adventure to the car’s character.
The premiere of the Discovery Sport has just started fading away but the company is already busy developing new projects. The Internet is full of rumours about new models coming up. The Discovery will lose its title of a single model and become part of an entire model range.
Two new models positioned between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport are expected to arrive. The new generation of off-road vehicles will inherit the best exterior features of the Discovery Vision concept and borrow several engineering solutions used in the Discovery Sport.
Comfort will not be left aside, even though Land Rover Design Director Gerry McGovern said in his interview to Car Magazine that the Discovery model range would feature an “adventurous styling”. True explorers will definitely need plenty of storage solutions and three rows of seating. The carmaker might even remember about those who use all-wheel drive layout for the purpose specified. Wades, steep hills, gullies, and mountains — those are the things that still attract true adventure seekers.
