The first Lamborghini SUV, built on the basis of Urus concept car was expected to become one of the most expensive models. However, it was announced that the price can be more attractive than it was planned.
The source of this information, however, needs to be double checked. As the Motoring newspaper says, japanese Lamborghini sales director Eginardo Bertoli declassified some plans of the company. He said that the price of the future crossover will be comparable with one of the most affordable models — Lamborghini Huracan. However, in this context “affordable” means not less than 200 000 euros.
Bertoli announced the plans to start Urus production in the end of 2017, and the market will get the new SUV a year later.
At the same time, according to other sources from the Italian company, the Urus project still have not got the Volkswagen senior management approval. AutoEvolution media is quoting Maurizio Reggiani, a member of the Board: «We are still waiting for confirmation, but we continue our work to start production in the end 2017.»
