Arnold Schwarzenegger decided to acquire a new car and set his old buddy Mercedes-Benz Unimog for sale. And that is not some orange “get-through-anywhere” road service truck, that thing is much more serious.
Why the ex-Governor of California and a famous actor decided not to leave the off-road vehicle in his collection is still an open question. Perhaps, he has ecological reasons on his mind, as the car is really fuel-hungry. Anyway, the Unimog is up for sale at the price of €208,250. By the way, Schwarzenegger paid €250,000 for it a couple of years ago.
Under the bonnet, the road version of the military Mercedes-Benz Unimog U1300 carries a 6.4-litre diesel-powered engine delivering 320 hp. It can barely top 100 km/h. On the other hand, it has so much torque that it can drag trains easily.
The car was fitted with air suspension, a remote control-operated electric wench, and a rearview camera at the wish of the owner. It also features a modified brake system.
As a bonus, the future owner will have the film star’s signature on the dashboard.
