Maserati plan to launch production of their first crossover in 2015. At the moment, its prototype is undergoing testing.
The first crossover in Maserati’s history was named Levante. As we already know, the prototype is based on the Ghibli sedan.
What concerns the engine lineup, the Levante is expected to offer a range of petrol-powered V6 engines delivering 350 and 425 hp and a V8 tuned to produce 560 hp. Diesel engines will also be available — they will be ready to deliver 250 hp, 275 hp or 320 hp.
At the moment, the Maserati Levante test mule has been spotted on Italian roads.
