As the company has revealed high-performance versions of the Dodge Charger and Challenger, it will now have to upgrade the Viper as well.
After the launch of a 6.2-litre V8 Hellcat engine, which pumps out 707 hp, the Dodge Viper has lost its title of the most powerful car in the brand’s lineup. Nevertheless, the engineers do not intend to give up. They are not going to rule out their huge naturally aspirated engine.
As reported by Allpar, a 640-hp engine will be fitted with a supercharger. The company plans to reach the 800 hp mark. It’s possible to boost the Viper with even more horsepower; however, it would require replacing several other units that might lead to extra expenses.
Currently, it remains unclear when the high-performance Viper might be ready to arrive.
