A new player is about to enter the premium segment — it’s a Hyundai crossover claimed to compete with the Lexus RX and Audi Q5.
Hyundai Motor America CEO Dave Zuchowski said that the company had already taken a final decision about building a luxury crossover. As a reminder, Hyundai’s premium lineup used to feature sedans only. The crossover might share the platform with the Santa Fe model. According to preliminary information, the car might be available in front-wheel drive as an option.
Other details are scant at this stage, including the release date of the premium Korean crossover.
