Mercedes-Benz has plans to build a high-performance GLK-Class version fitted with a twin-turbocharged V8.
The standard Mercedes-Benz GLK will ride on the MRA platform, which debuts in the 2015 C-Class. The engine lineup will include a 2.0-litre 211-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 2.1-litre turbo-diesel engine delivering 170 hp, and a 3.5-litre 333-hp V6.
What concerns the high-performance version, it will be fitted with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8; however, there is no word about its horsepower yet. Obviously, this version of the SUV will be created by the AMG division.
The new-generation Mercedes-Benz GLK is scheduled to arrive in 2015.
