Starting from 1989, the legend of the off-road world, Land Rover Defender, has been produced without any serious changes. However, word leaked out that quite recently the company’s designers have finished working on the next-generation Defender.
Two SUV prototypes were revealed in 2011 — the DC100 and DC100 Sport. Curious to know is that the premiere will have nothing in common with them. It will be a premium-level model featuring new design and luxurious interior. True brutal off-road conquerors become a thing of the past.
There is no word on the technical specs of the new model so far. Right now available for sale is the legendary Defender fitted with a 2.2-litre diesel-powered engine delivering just 122 hp.
The date of the new model’s premiere is unknown.
