At the Paris Motor Show, BMW is in addition to the X2 crossover prototype presented to the public a conceptual version of i3 and i8 models developed together with the company Garage Italia Customs. It is led by a former top manager of Fiat Lapo Elkann.
Past through the hands of professionals Garage Italia Customs model i8 and i3 are called CrossFade. They are distinguished by an exclusive coloring of a body of blue and dark gray.
Style, which made coloring, — pointillism. It prevents strokes irregular shape and eliminates the mixing of colors.
When the paint applied to the BMW i8 smears were triangular in shape, and in the BMW i3 — round. In addition, there is one difference: in the i8 — paints the transition from blue to gray in a horizontal plane, while the i3 — vertical. And it affected not only the appearance of the car, but also its interior.
The BMW intend to prepare a serial version of the prototype as early as 2017.
