Audi has made its debut at the Paris Motor Show with the racing version of its new RS3 Sedan, also presented in Paris.
Audi RS3 LMS is designed for body TCR championship. From the civil version, it is characterized by a 330-strong 2-liter «four» (from under the hood RS3 Sedan 400-hp 2.5-liter «five»).
The first hundred racing RS3 LMS overcomes in 4.5 seconds, while its top speed is limited at around 240 kilometers per hour (at RS3 Sedan, respectively, the same figures — 4.1 seconds and 250 km per hour).
Teams will receive vehicles in December 2016.
Cost version for TCR (with sequential 6-speed gearbox) — 129 thousand euros, the option club sport (with the «robot») — 99 thousand euro.
Recall, TCR Championship was founded in 2015 the former head of the WTCC series Marcello Lotti and is positioned as an alternative to WTCC).
