The legendary Jaguar E-Type was revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
The E-Type sports coupé prototype features an aluminium body, which made it 144 kg lighter. As reported by the company, the lightweight model will be fitted with a 3.8-litre inline six-cylinder engine.
As a reminder, the sports coupé made its debut in 1964. It was supposed to be a limited edition of 18 units; however, only 12 of them were produced. Quite recently, the company decided to revive the project and build the six “missing” vehicles. New E-Types are developed by the engineers from the recently created Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations division. All cars will be hand-built.
