Ferrari president to deal with airplanes

Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo will become the head of Italian flag carrier Alitalia.

Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo will become the head of Italian flag carrier Alitalia.

Montezemolo helped in negotiations between two companies. As a result, Etihad Airways will acquire a 49-percent stake in the Italian airline. This deal has been discussed for ten months and finally Etihad are ready to pay €560 million and make another €600m investment in the nearest future.

It is still an open question why Montezemolo did that and whether he is going to continue building supercars. One should keep in mind that Luca Di Montezemolo is also the head of Fiat auto group and Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (NTV), which deals with high-speed trains.

Perhaps, the earth didn’t seem so spacious anymore and he needed some fresh air.
