Recall, in 2012, Renault and Caterham started to work on joint projects sportscar. When it came close to building a prototype of the navigation and layout in plasticine and clay, Renault, fascinated by the new project (it was Alpine), lost interest in the job.
Caterham in parting in 2014 announced that it will complete the project on their own (for the C120, they even sold the team, «Formula 1»). In the original design discern the features Caterham models — descendants lotusovskoy «Seven», but differences too much.
Artists painted C120 with a wide «mouth», a large front overhang and short rear. A mid-car (there arises 314-hp 2-liter Ford Duratec to drive the compressor as Caterham 620S).
