New modification of the Hennessey Venom GT F5 supercar will be able to reach a top speed of 466 km/h.
The supercar will hit the market only in 2016. It will be fitted with the same 7.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 delivering up to 1,400 hp like the previous Venom GT. The supercar will get a six-speed manual transmission and no automatic version as the most important aspect for Hennessey is weight reduction. There is no word yet about the date of the record-setting attempt.
The American company plans to beat the land speed record set by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in 2010. The Veyron was able to reach the speed of 434.2 km/h. It could have had an even higher top speed; however, the car came to an end of the straight section. Well, at least the company gave the following comment after the record-setting attempt.
