Mercedes-Benz have finally taken the wraps off the new engine, which is being currently developed for the Mercedes AMG GT supercar.
The car will be fitted with a 4.0-litre V8 delivering 503 hp. The most intriguing part is the engine location.
It will sit 2.2 inches lower in the chassis, which would give the AMG GT a lower centre of gravity in comparison with its predecessors. The engines will be assembled at the Mercedes-AMG plant in Affalterbach.
