Maps on batteries — the idea is not new. Many companies are trying to develop its counterpart, which could be run in a batch production, even in the Russian South Ural State University have created a prototype. But Bosch company has a significant trump card on paper — the support of the International Automobile Federation FIA.
Accordingly, it is possible that a new racing series can be created in the near future.
Bosch E-card equipped with two motor-generators with capacity of 20 kW (27 hp) and 300 Nm, and 48-volt onboard system with lithium-ion cells. While the prototype is in the test phase, but it is already on the acceleration to hundreds of takes less than 5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 130 km / h.
By the way, Bosch is not limited to the support of the FIA. The project involved a German manufacturer of go-karts Mach 1 Kart, the German motorsport association (DMSB) and the new Energy Commission, which supports the development in the field of «green» vehicles.
