Jaguar Land Rover bought the world’s biggest collection of 543 British cars, which used to belong to a wealthy entrepreneur James Hull.

James Hull was initially ready to sell the entire collection at the price of £100 million (around 6 billion RUB), however, the final price is unknown: “I’ve been collecting all of them for many years, visited many countries, this collection has become my lifetime project. Now it’s time to take the collection forward and I know it is in safe hands”.

When the sale is complete, this huge collection will serve to strengthen the reputation of Jaguar and Land Rover all over the world. Cars will be used when revealing the company’s premieres. Many of the cars are Jaguars, like, for instance, 1936–40 SS100, 1948–54 XK120, 1961–75 E-Type, 1954–57 D-Type sports cars, 1961–70 MK X sedans, and 1975–96 XJS coupés. We have told you about some of these legendary models in our “Retro” column.
