800 km on a single charge

Tesla Motors are ready to launch production of an electric vehicle that can travel a record-breaking 800 km on a single charge.

Tesla Motors chief executive Elon Musk made an official statement about the premiere. He said that the travel range of the new model would be twice as effective as the Tesla Model S, which actually makes more than 800 km.

Elon Musk has not specified which model would carry this battery; however, the travel range increase would increase the price as well.

So the question is whether they are going to have another modification of the Model S sedan or it refers to a more affordable version — Model III. The latter comes as standard fitted with a battery, which provides the range of around 320 km; however, it is possible to choose out of a range of batteries with different capacity.

Elon Musk said once again that the company was not going to give up on its principles and use hybrid powerplants in their cars. Only electricity, only hardcore!
