According to a top manager of the company Peter Bardenflet-Hansen on the Tesla Roadster will be replaced by a new generation of sports car in 2019, which will not only be bigger and faster than its predecessor, but the look will be different than the first generation Roadster (he produced in 2008–2012 and the 288-strong electrical installation) stood under its hood.
According to forecasts, the new model will be built on the basis of the chassis Tesla Model 3 (current Roadster based on the Lotus Elise). Insider sources say that the power unit and batteries — all will be different.
However, the publication Electrek ironic that Tesla has not yet been implemented fully update Roadster 3.0 (kit, tires, battery, capable of providing a power reserve of 640 km instead of the current 400), which promises to owners of sports car two years ago.
