BVR team out of the championship

With the recent news of the passing of the founder and the head of the C & J Energy Josh Comstock, many began to ask questions about the further destiny of Bob Vandergriff Racing Team (BVR).
The main source of sponsorship for the racing team and was the company Comstock. Evil tongues asserted that it is only a matter of time, as will soon be replaced by the new management priorities are not in favor of participation in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. However, the decision to leave BVR not affected C & J Energy Management, he took his own Bob Vandergriff, said recently that his team will be dissolved «immediately».

Thus, without a job remain more than twenty people, including two pilots, represented by Leah Pritchett and Dave Connolly. Naturally, it was a choice of Vandergriff, but no one expected that the story of «stable» will end as the unexpected resignation of the sport. And a hell of a shame, at least for Mrs. Pritchett, whose team last year Dote Racing around in the same manner was disbanded in the middle of the championship. This season, in case the pilots went to the mountain, she had celebrated the first victory in his career, and here are the news. Perhaps, given the tight relationship between the BVR and Don Schumacher, in Pritchett will have a chance to perform as part of Don Schumacher Racing on some of Event, but most likely the possibility of participation in the championship as a permanent pilot will have to forget it, because search for a new team for the national championship — an incredibly difficult task.
My head has been thought that the tie is a race, and untimely death of my old friend and a man who supported us for a long time, was the last straw that made me reconsider views on life. I want to spend more time with his family, and professional sports this is almost incompatible. I spent «22 drag racing, and this decision was very difficult to me. Finally I want to express my gratitude to all those who surrounded me, and wish them good luck and new achievements in the future...
Bob Vandergiff:
It is unlikely that it will comfort people in a single day were out of work, but we very much hope that they will be able to realize themselves in the professional field and not again appear at the event NHRA. We will keep you posted, do not switch.
