Mazda engineers have not sleeping. company has patented a device of new generation rotary engine recently. rotary engine design provides for its 180-degree turn around the longitudinal axis, which will improve the location of the engine under the hood of the car.
Turbocharger and exhaust openings on the motor will be located above, respectively, available space for the front cross member and suspension components.
It is known that the engine will use the new triangular rotor and fuel injectors are located closer to the combustion chamber, which should improve the fuel efficiency of the engine. This probably will be equipped with a rotary engine RX-8 successor.
