BMW: good-bye, «mechanics»!

The new generation M5 and M6 will remain without manual transmission.
BMW intends to discontinue the production of «charged» the M5 sedan with the «mechanics» already this autumn.
According to Car and Driver, referring to the head of Frank van Mila M GmbH, the rejection of the «mechanics» is dictated by the fact that the demand for such version «tends to zero».
However, as emphasized by a top manager, «We remain committed to a mechanical box and offer it to M2, M3 and M4.»

As for the BMW M5, the version with six-speed «mechanics» was intended for the US market, but on the next generation M5 and M6 it is not, it will give way to a robotized transmissions.
BMW M5, aggregated with 7-band semi-automatic transmission, equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo «eight» power of 560 forces (Competition Package — 575 troops). Model overcomes the first hundred in 4.3 seconds and a top speed limited to 305 kilometers per hour.
