Cadillac Escalade is likely to get a turbocharged V6 engine.
Cadillac brand manager David Schiavone told Automotive News about the new engine lineup. Luxury SUVs are expected to carry not only diesel-powered six-cylinder engines, but also petrol-powered twin-turbocharged V6 engines. Competition is increasing so they have to weasel their way out. However, the US-based company does not plant to opt out of their traditional V8 engines.
An interesting fact is that GM have never had diesel-powered V6 motors before. It means that quite soon they are going to have a new engine, which will be used not only in Escalade but in other company’s models as well.
