SMP Racing together with the Russian Automobile Federation (RAF) will continue to support the Championship of Russia in drag racing. Championship is organized by the company Dragtimes.
In the upcoming season Russian Championship drag racing will include four phases:
25 — 26 June, Stage 1, Krasnoyarsk Circuit «Red Ring»
30 — 31 July, Stage 2, Moscow region (Venue to be confirmed)
13 — 14 August, Stage 3, Nizhny Novgorod ASK «Nizhny Novgorod ring»
10 — 11 September, Stage 4, Circuit Terrible «Fortress Terrible»
The dates of the competition can be adjusted, the exact venue of the second stage will be announced later.
In previous seasons, the competition was attended by over one hundred and forty athletes from different regions of Russia and foreign countries. In 2015 Russian Championship drag racing had the honor to open the new race track «Fortress Terrible» in the Chechen Republic. Two Russian national record was set in the course of the season.

«Russian Championship drag racing will be supported by SMP Racing and the Russian Automobile Federation for the third consecutive year. We see a growing interest in the competition, and listen to the wishes of the participants and the fans. This year it was decided to transfer part of the stage in the central part of the country. Be sure to stay in Krasnoyarsk stage at the legendary racetrack, „Red Ring“, and we will come back again on the drag strip, „Fortress Grozny“.
The difficult economic situation does not allow us to include in the calendar of the fifth stage, and, unfortunately, we are forced to refuse to pay the prize money to the winners of the competition. At the same time we keep the compensation for the delivery of cars participating in the competition. We are confident that complexity does not prevent us to a new season of the Championship of Russia in drag racing at a high level.
Our main task — in motor racing to promote safety on the roads program. This discipline of motor racing as drag racing, clearly demonstrates the advantage of sporting approach to racing acceleration.

Russian Championship drag racing — competition between cars on a parallel acceleration at a distance of a quarter mile (402.33 meters). Competitions are held between cars in three classes: front, rear and all-wheel drive.
