Luxury — this is what is missing in the line of BMW cars. This conclusion was the company's management, looking at the model of Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce.
Development Director BMW Klaus Froehlich said that they are going to meet the luxury customers who are not satisfied with the 7-Series. The new models will be more luxurious, and the cost will be about 150 000 euros. By comparison, the top model 7-Series 750Li xDrive sale with a price tag of 115,100 euros.
No details about the new product and the approximate timing of its release yet, but Klaus Froehlich assured that engineers are not limited to «five different wheelbases and a set of chrome lining.»
Probably, it will be really a new car.
At the same time, not so long ago Photospies filmed a prototype of the new sedan version of the BMW 7-Series with the current generation of large brake discs and new exhaust pipes. It is possible that this test is not an M-version of the car, and limited the party, which will be presented at the Paris Motor Show in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Bavarian company.
