Infiniti’s employees, when going home on Friday evening, found out that their president Johan de Nysschen quit and Andy Palmer was to become the company’s CEO.
Palmer used to be Nissan’s Chief Planning Officer. In his comment on the situation, he expresses gratitude to de Nysschen: “Johan’s contribution has been enormous. The trajectory for the first six months was absolutely stunning. We’re intending to keep that continuity of growth”.
Well, de Nysschen resigned due to moving back to the United States, where his family live. Perhaps, he got tired of constant flights from US to Infiniti’s headquarters in Hong Kong.
According to Automotive News, ex-president might be hired by Cadillac; however, no official announcement has been made so far.
