Bugatti created a concept of the new supercar fitted with a hybrid powerplant delivering 1,500 hp. The company wants it to become Veyron’s successor as such power can hardly leave anyone indifferent.
As you know, the best defence is a good offense. Bugatti’s spokeswoman used this strategy when making a statement: “The new model will not be less exciting than the Veyron," she said. "Our customers have certain expectations." Meaning, in case you don’t want it, you can always buy a 1,030-hp Veyron.
If someone got interested in the premiere, it is expected to arrive in 2015. It will be a limited edition of only 450 units. Each of them will cost $1.7 million.
The car will be fitted with a 7.9-litre quad-turbocharged W16, which is going to be part of the hybrid powerplant with a combined total output of 1,500 hp. All technical specifications are still under wraps so it’s too soon to start discussing characteristics of the premiere.
