It now Rich Conklin (Rich Conclin) fairly well known, especially among the «Gasserov» on the east coast of the United States, and not just pass for a real guru «Gasserov» in the world. He not only has its own garage Rich's Hot Rod Farm, located in the town of Montville, New Jersey, and his own firm Radir Wheel Company, which produces special wheels for hot rods and rear slicks, just designed specifically for «Gasserov».

But 40 years ago, at the beginning of the distant 70s of last century, Rich was a simple American kid. It was about «Gasser» known in those days, Rich Trice. Who knows, maybe, not least the secret of «glamor» of the young Conklin is this car lies in the fact that it was built by the namesake, and perhaps the very fate — this is who you want to be...

Rich did not give up. On the mountain master, his house was literally on the way of the future «gasserovtsa» home from school, and Conklin almost every day dropped in to visit him! ... And 40 years of motion!

Without hesitation, and the benefit of having the financial ability, Rich immediately ordered a more powerful and, most importantly, a new «out of the box» engine with the same capacity. He again took apart his own, however, this time, only the front of the machine, removing the very front swivel accrued „kulaks“ who cooked it in 1975 a local craftsman. After Rich introduced himself all the necessary modifications to the steering of his Chevy. And the „bottom“ has changed completely. Is it any wonder that after more than half a century, and in the second decade of the XXI century, in the cabin of the «Gasser» atmosphere reigns 50s vinyl «sofa» in the same tone and door cards that adorn manual windows.

Conklin did not change any original archaic «tidy» with its huge scales, nor the old are not height-adjustable steering column, not to mention the management of head lights and wipers, as well as the old push-button analog radio receiver!
